Front Chin-Ups


Front chin-ups helps widen the upper back and create a full sweep in the lat muscles. With proper form on chin ups, this can be a very effective exercise. Chin ups can be done with a wide or narrow grip.


Front Chin-Ups Starting Position

  1. Grasp a chin - up bar with an overhand grip approximately 3 - 5 inches wider then your shoulder - width.

  2. Your knees are flexed at a 90 - degree angle so your ankles can cross each other.

Front Chin-Ups Exercise Technique

  • Pull your body up in a vertical line until your chin is parallel to the bar.

  • Slowly lower your body to the staring position, and repeat the movement until the number of desired repetitions is completed.
