Lat Pull-downs Behind the Neck
Lat Pull-Downs Behind the neck is one of many back strengthening exercises for widening the upper lats. Lat Pull-Downs allows you to Chins with less than your total weight, so you can do a lot of extra reps for the upper back if you feel you need to do more work in that area.
Lat Pull-downs Behind the Neck Starting Position
- Stand in front of the lat pull - down machine and grasp the bar with a wide overhand grip.
- Sit down with your feet flat on the floor, back straight, and your thighs secured underneath the thigh support pad.
- At this point, your arms are fully extended holding the overhead bar.
Lat Pull-downs Behind the Neck Exercise Technique
- Initiate the movement by pulling your elbows downward and backward.
- As the bar approaches your head, lean forward allowing the bar to slightly touch the top part of your back neck.
- Slowly bring the bar back to the staring position, and repeat the movement until the number of desired repetitions is completed.
