Leg Press Starting Position

  1. Moving only your lower legs lift the desired weight until the quadriceps muscles are fully extended.

  2. Place the feet flat on the platform with a shoulder-width stance, and toes slightly angled outward.

  3. Grasp the handles and unlock the weight in preparation to perform the leg press.

Leg Press Exercise Technique

  • Slowly bend your legs allowing the knees to travel toward your chest.

  • When your knees have angles slightly greater than 90-degrees, slowly straighten your leg to the starting position (do not lock your knees).

  • Repeat the movement until the number of desired repetitions is completed.
