Prime Rib Recipe



Prime rib is amazing if made properly. Here is our favorite prime rib recipe for you to try out.

For making this perfect prime right, the prep time is just 5 minutes. Cooking time will be about 3.5 hours. The main ingredient is a 7 lbs. standing prime rib roast, loin end, tied.

Cooking Prime Rib



Preheat oven to 325°F. Heat a large roasting pan over two burners at medium-high heat. Place prime rib in hot pan and cook 6-8 minutes until browned on all sides. Remove prime ribfrom pan. Set wire rack in pan, then set roast on rack. Season generously with salt and pepper to taste. Place roast on lower rack of oven and roast about 3-1/2 hours, (about 30 minutes per lb), or until a meat thermometer registers 130°F. We recommend you let the prime rib stand 20 minutes before slicing.
